We at the California Electronics Recycler realize that most Electronics Recycling companies will only take your valuable scrap and then leave you with the messy and toxic leftovers. This puts many companies in the difficult position of determining how to dispose of these items, and all too often these items end up in our landfills. We believe that a true Electronics Recycling Partnership involves the Collector taking the good with the bad and assuring proper disposal of all items.
Fluorescent Lamps
Both Fluorescent Lamps ($1 per lamp) and Single-Use batteries ($1.50 per pound) are expensive to recycle. Unlike less reputable companies that secretly dispose of these in our landfills, we are committed to always recycling them in a responsible manner thru Certified companies.
The California Electronics Recycler agrees to collect items with negative scrap values (Fluorescent Lamps and Single-Use Batteries) from your company at no initial charge provided that we have a commitment (1 year or longer) to be your exclusive Electronics Recycling partner. Provided that the items with positive scrap value sufficiently exceeds those with negative scrap value, the entirety of services will be provided free of charge.
Our agreement simply establishes that your company will recycle its old, obsolete, broken or surplus Electronics with our company so that we can sufficiently offset the cost of the items with negative scrap values. We usually find that a 3 to 1 ratio of positive to negative items is sufficient (i.e. 3 pallets of positive items to every 1 pallet of negative). If, as partners, we are unable to achieve this balance then your company is only required to reimburse a pro-rated portion of the negative scrap values.
